    What do you find the most relaxing part of quilting .My favourite is hand quilting and hand applique.I love to make quilts by machine but find hand work very peaceful

    I love the choosing the fabrics and then the handwork. Handsewing the binding to the back is so relaxing for me but it saddens me because I know it is near completion.

    When the top is complete and I hang it on the wall and step back and sit down and admire it while having a sip of an icecold diet coke.

    Can't think of anything I don't find relaxing about quilting - okay, there are tense moments now and then, like when I have to rip a seam for the nth time, but overall-I love the whole process!
