Figured you just measured the mug but wasn't sure about the loops on the outside. Are they tapered? Closed at the bottom? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The mug buckets have pleats in the bottom of the outer pockets.

Yes, I've made them. They are very simple to make. I waited for the pattern to go on sale at Joann's for $1.

I have purchased one, I think for 2.99 it is a better deal than making one considering how fiddly it will be with all the edging and those little pockets.

I have the Simplicity pattern and have made over a dozen. I have used them for gifts and kept one for myself. My grandson saw one I had gifted and he special ordered one with tractor material on it. I found that you can use plain fabric for the main mat and just use speciality fabric for the pockets. You can get one out of a fat quarter.

When I looked at JoAnns they were out of the patterns. They are having another sale this weekend. My husband told me he might be able to get me to the next town to see if their Joanns has the pattern. Figure I might me able to get dinner out of it too.

The one I saw in the store was just made out of that brown canvas, not very attractive. I was thinking gifts and fabrics for certain people.

Never mind! I got my pattern! Had to go to the next town but I got my pattern at JoAnn's today for.99. Yeah!!! Of course I had to buy a few other things while I was in there. You know, other patterns, 50% off fabric, just a few necessities.lol

Thanks for all your help. Let you know when I get one finished now. so little time.lol
