Must be a new phone scam.

Got calls from my area code stating I had won $25000 in a sweepstakes contest I had entered....maybe at a gas station or convenience store. I don't think so....never registered for anything. The only reason I answered is because I thought it could be possibly my daughter calling from someone else's phone...because she is bad about letting her phone die on her. I'm sooooo disgusted with all the attempts to scam people we have to deal with on a daily basis!!!!

My DH loves to answer the spam phone calls in the voice of the Mexican cleaning lady on the Family Guy TV show. It always throws the telemarketer for a loop! He can imitate the voice perfectly and just says, "No, no, Mr. ------ not here. I need more lemon pledge." The reactions are always totally lost for words!

this one is dangerous. Our prefix is 751, and we are now getting dozens of these calls a day. Rob has voice mail, so if any are legit they can leave a message. I don't, don't answer and then block the number.
But... I was waiting for imagining to call me to set up ct's for my oncology doctor. They said they couldn't get thorough and mailed me a number to call. They, and 90% of the people around me have 751 prefixes.
I wish there was a real person to complain about too...
this was promising but haven't heard any follow up
