With teary eyes I think of those overseas fighting for our freedom. This Christmas season will be a lonely time for the family members left behind.

God bless our troops & keep them safe.

This poem readily brings tears forward.....how sad that "WE MUST BE REMINDED" what others "SACRIFICE" for our freedoms. But even sadder.....is how many... SPIT in the face of this "FREEDOM" and take it for granted!!!

Make time during this festive season to "REMEMBER" & possibly visit those who are confined in your local Veteran's hospital with no family or friends close by. Believe me the numbers are vast.

Sadly....many of our Vets are left there and forgotten. Just a few kind words shared with someone that isn't part of the medical world......would affirm that their sacrifices were & continue to be worth while.

If you so chose to take a token of appreciation... be mindful that many are diabetics and cannot have sweets. Maybe take a little artificial tree or maybe a bud vase with a single red flower. But most of all....a smile, a handshake or just a heartfelt THANK YOU would bring joy.

Just food for thought... I've seen it all... I've logged in thousands of hours over the past 12 years and it is HEARTBREAKING to witness many of the sights at hand. Please let them know they are still valued!!!!!

    GOD BLESS..........
