I'm sorry to hear this. It's like losing an old friend, even if you never got to meet him in person.

At lease he lived a long life just like the oldest person alive just died last week. She was 116. I loved his show too, along with a lot of the other older ones. My grandson sat watching old westerns with me yesterday. He's 10 and is fasinated with the way things were way backwhen. His other favorite show was Little house on the prarie and The Waltons. For me, if it has Lucille Ball, Jimmy Stewart, Mary Tyler Moore and a few others I'll be right there watching. Today's shows have so much crime in it, its a shame. My grandson loves watching Grim, but he will be the first one to tell you he knows its fake. He also understands that alot of the crime shows are true to life, even though the shows themselves are real.

Yes I remember , he had the part of the shop owner

A few film remakes had the original actors from the first film in cameo rolls

In the new War of the Worlds both Gene Barry and Ann Robinson had cameos

I always liked Alan Young so tried to watch anything with him in it

96 is a very long life. Good for him! Actually I was surprised to hear that he only just died. Would have thought he died long ago. Yes, he made a lot of us happy. Lots of good laughs on that show. It's not easy playing the straight man to a wiseacre horse! I can still sing the theme song....

    RIP Alan Young.

I just watched an interview with him from last year... the man looked great and was sharp as a tack! He also did his "Scrooge McDuck" voice... I never knew he played that voice for Disney!
