My Christmas Present!!
#23
I'm the passenger too. I'd have had my own bike by now but we were involved in a motorcycle accident May 17, 2009 when a 17 year old kid turned left right in front of us. I crushed fingers on my left hand, broke the left scapula (shoulder blade) in 2 places and destroyed the "guts" in my left shoulder socket. I can't use the clutch or turn the bike so that plan didn't work out. The right side of my husband's face was rebuilt because it was crushed. The couple we were riding with lost their lives that day. Hubby was back on a bike July 2009 but it took me a year to get back on one. I figured that kid took a lot away from me that day but he wasn't going to take away my joy of riding.

Speaking from someone who has ridden a fat boy across country a few times you will LOVE IT!!!!! We try to ride to the smokies evey year just as everyones kids are going back to school and right before laborday, prices are cheaper and the crowds far less! Those 4 wheelers can be dangerous for us on bikes esp up in the MTS.If you are renting a cabin though ask about motorcycle friendly. I rented once and we couldn't get the bikes up the gravel mountian safely lol.
Congratulations on your beautiful new ride!

Oh, what a wonderful Christmas present. Spring will be here before you know it and then you can ride all the time. My youngest son and his wife both own a harley. They enjoyed the many rides they made together this year and as a matter of fact they went for a day ride just a couple of weeks ago and since we are suppose to be in the sixties this weekend, I look for them to go for a ride. He rode his back and forth to work - cheaper on gas.
I am glad that you and your husband are riding again!
