My dad's socks
#1
My dad, aged 90, has been ill lately and had a checkup at his doctor's office today. I was taking him for his appointment and noticed that he had on two different colored socks....one black and one navy blue. When I pointed that out, he said, "Oh, I took my socks out of the drawer without turning on the light." Then, after a few minutes, he said, "And you know what? I have another pair in there just like these!"
It's so good to know his sense of humor is still intact! :D
Plus, he got a really good report from the doctor. It made our day!

When I was nursing student, we had psychiatrist instructor. He wore mismatched argyle socks every day! What fun we youngsters had laughing at him (privately) every day. Finally someone had enough nerve to mention it to him. He said he did this with every new class to see how long it would take for someone to tell him about his mismatched socks. After that day his socks always matched. I guess the joke was on us? Maybe Dad was "just testing".

Thanks for sharing. That is funny! I have worn two different socks before. Sometimes it is just hard to match socks.
I often buy socks 6 pr. at a time. Now, you would think that if they are sold together on one card/one sock hanger that they would all be the same color, right? Nooooo, all the pairs still have to be matched.
I just keep lots of tiny pony tail bands around to keep them all matched.
