I would call her. And, the quilt is beautiful.

    she's 85?

just be grateful she's still around to receive and enjoy your gift.

My aunt is now 88. Several years ago, I gave her a quilt that I put together after she hand embroidered 12 flower blocks. I was there when she opened it at Xmas & never heard her express a like or dislike regarding the quilt. It was a gift, so I just tell myself everyone's taste may not be what mine is & hopefully one of my cousins will end up with the quilt.

I agree. She probably opened the box and thought, "Oh what a beautiful gift! I'll call her and thank her after I watch my stories this afternoon." It's very easy for some folks in that age group to forget little things like making a phone call.

just because the package was sign for does not mean she got it. i had a package sent to me and i never got it. it went to an address the same as mine but it was east , and ours is west. the people that signed for it must of liked it and keep it. and they said no they never got it.

That is a beautiful quilt. I would call and check to be sure it was received. Maybe she is still trying to write her "thank you".
