I would call her up and just causually mention you sent a gift. She may not be feeling well, or something!

I vote for you should ring her to check whether she even received the quilt.

    ROTFLMBO

So I call - here is the conversation:

Me - Aunt Max how is it going?

AM - Good - what do you want?

Me - just checking in to see how things are going

    AM - ok

Me - so did you get the box I sent you?

    AM - yes

Me - Ok...just wanted to make sure you got it! Hope everything is ok

AM - What did you want a phone call or thank you card? Do you know how many people send stuff to me because they think old people need things? I have 10 Thank you cards to write and you are just going to have to wait!

Me - oh no that wasn't it Aunt Max...I just wanted to see how you were doing!

AM - why? you think I'm going to kick the bucket soon!

Me - No Aunt Max - well listen the kids school is calling for some reason - gotta take this call - Love you!

AM - do you know its rude to hang up on someone because your getting another call? Bye! Click!

See I told ya'll I LOVED HER! She isn't so prime and proper anymore!!

Her youngest son lives here in the same town I do...he told me that last week he called to check in and she answered the phone "if your calling to tell me its time to go to a home...don't bother and hang up now!".

She is good for a laugh! I told her son "I wanna be like her when I grow up!"....
