You 2 are THAT close?
Have you met up? That would be SOOOO cool
Dang! 2 places to stay.....I could get pampered 2 times in France! WOOHOO!!! Break out the wine!!
Katrine...you just tell your hubby to keep up the good work. Those flowers are amazing! I know what it's like to see different insects on the plants, even ones you don't want, but are still beautiful. In Hawaii, I had 2 Hummingbird Moths that would frequent my little flower garden I had. They were just so beautiful as I had never seen or heard of them before.
Your hubby definitely has a green thumb going. I cannot wait until I FINALLY get my OWN house so I can have my gardens, be it veggie or flowers, but will DEFINITELY have some beautiful flowers. Probably not as nice as you have, but I can dream......
We get those hummingbird moths as well - they just love our flowers - and they are absolutely stunning to watch. We had to go and buy a book so we could recognise and find out about the insects that come around here.
I bet you can't wait to have that garden...

Oh I'm homesick for Europe now. We lived in Germany 4 yrs & camped all over, so we'd pack our VW, 2 kids & away we'd go. Lived on Eastern border of France & we'd go to France on Fri evenings for dinner. All the Germans had little gardens & flowers, no matter if their yard was 4' x 4'. I was amazed all over at all the flowers. We stopped at a Tulip Show one Sunday afternoon, & of course I wanted to buy tulips, but they shook their heads "No buy, only for looks."
Did your husband build the flower box on the side of the house in one photo? It goes up, then down with dark pink flowers???? Just fabulous. Thanks for bringing back the memories. Hope you'll come to the USA & visit us here. We're from everywhere. Thanks.

Good grief, I can't begin to imagine watering all those flowers!! That's more than a hobby; it's a part-time job. Oh, the other definition of hobby.
I especially like those tiny blue flowers by the fucshias. They are so delicate looking. I like fuschias, too, and always put together a couple baskets of them, but mine never look as good as your husband's. Maybe I'm not putting enough plants in my pots. Like you say, they sure attract a lot of flying interest. We have hummingbrids here, and they love the fuschias.
Thanks for sharing all those beautiful pictures.

Same here - everyone loves their flowers, and even if the house has no garden, the window sills and balconies are adorned with flowers. The towns and villages all have their own "municipal" flowers too.

Just wanted to say - when I go over to Katrine's of COURSE I drool over her beautiful work! After I've fussed my two little boys, Coco and Rascal of course! I always take them a little doggy treat in my pocket but I THINK they love me for myself!
