Thanks, Quilter7x. Just wanting to help other smokers out there who think they can't quit smoking. THEY CAN! I'm more than willing to be a "phone buddy" for anyone who wants the support. Just send me a personal message and we can exchange phone numbers. I have a cell phone with Verizon service, lots of minutes, unlimited texting and data and can help.

Oh Dear, I'm so very sorry you and DH had to go through this. But, thank God that everything is better. Keep up the non smoking and the healthy diet. That will work wonders for both of you. Stress can really do a number on you. And keep in mind that most of the time we take our frustrations out on the ones we love. Hugs to both of you.

I am also glad to hear that you both quit smoking---and there is the answer to your "snapping at each other" question! Nicotine withdrawal is tough---but encourage each other as much as you can and you will both be so much healthier for it!! Congrats!!

Barb, so glad things are going better. I drink a lot of water, but drank even more in the beginning to help with not smoking. My brother went around with a toothpick in his mouth for a long time. That and gum helped him through the withdrawls. I wish the best for both of you.

There should be a 12 Step program for people who stop smoking and their loved ones like AA and Al-Anon! You and DH have both been through more health probs than most of us, so I'm keeping you in my prayers.
