LOL, Sandpat, your right on some people. I had a friend that used to live next door, when I was 8 monthes prenant with my Son. I had a ton of greenbeans that year, and asked if she wanted any. She said, oh yes, alot! Just pick me a ton and throw them on my porch! I asked if SHE could pick them, and she said no, the mosquitios would eat her alive! So, I'm supposed to pick em, pack em AND deliver em!!!!!!!!!! YEESH!

You are so right. We need to take care of our problems. There are too many hungry kids out there.

Oh, I forgot to mention my letter is currently up on a display about community gardening at my local library. Two of the librarians, Vicki and Muriel, had got a sneak peek at my letter before I had went down to drop it off at the Banner and they were really moved by it. They were also impressed that a 23 year old would be so thoughtful.

Muriel had brought up a good point when we talked about the letter: its bad we live in a country where fresh produce cost more than meat. I'm not a mass produce farmer by any means, but it seems like cattle would be a lot more costly to care for than vegetables.

You did a great job! Good point about produce - I live near farms but cannot afford to buy produce every week, just too much money. My usual weeknight meals center around pasta.
