As they get a little more independent they also get a little more sassy. My DD is being raised as an only child, she IS my only but she has a half sister and three half brothers. They are all grown and she's only 11. She sometimes forgets that I'm not one of her young friends and I refuse to be talked to like I'm one of the people on ICarly or Sweet Life. Taking her down a peg or two seems to happen more often these days. I think we're entering the stage where moms get dumber. LOL She's been excellent lately. Our biggest problem is that I was old (45) when she was born. Now when her hormones are waking up, mine are trying to sleep and sometimes her mood swings one way when mine's swinging the other.
