Hope you love your new serger! Be sure to post some of the things you make with it. I got one, also, for Christmas and I just started playing around with it a little bit ago.

I got one just like this for Christmas from my children. So far we have made a couple of knit scarves. The infinity scarves are such a hit these days and take about ten minutes to do using the serger. Have fun with it!

Chasing Hawk, please let me know how you like the serger. I am contemplating on thinking I need one but then again think the overcast stitch on my regular machine is sufficient. Good luck and enjoy your new baby.

I have one...used it this year to make those pillowcases.....up until then cannot remember the last time I did use it. I really need to get a book or something on it...took lessons when I bought it but the teacher really was not! Maybe that should be a New Years resolution !

I have had a baby lock surger 418 (three thread) since late 80's and have a janome 4 thread I haven't use much, they are so handy and while machines have overlock stitches, surgers trim material as it sews and are so useful for many things.

I have taken a few good online classes. Worth it.
