Also to worry you is if that is old Fiesta Ware. The glaze has lead in it on certain colors. have to research wich ones.

It's shouldn't add any flavor unless you're cooking something slow with tomatoes in it....the acid in the tomatoes will eat at the aluminum...

I have a pan almost exactly like that and never had a problem. I do not use sharp utensils in it because of all the speculation about aluminum and alzheimers. I figure it's better to be safe than sorry. I actually haven't used it for a long time though.
