Love the pictures. you are so lucky to live somewhere where the flowers and pineapples and papayas grow. I enjoyed the little visit even if I didn't have coffee.

I had my Mt. Dew while I visited your garden. Heard the 'animal' noises and smelled the flowers. Wish I could have had some of your pineapple, sure looked good. And that husband of your's is a real keeper. LOL Thanks for the visit.

Nice place to have morning coffee. Is the plant that your hubby is looking at a pineapple plant? I'm in Florida too so one would probably grow here. Do they take a long time to grow? I love the squirrels. I think I'm ready to go out and check my garden.

When I was little the house we lived had a fenced yard that basically made a horseshoe around the house. Dad was a gardener and the combination made all sorts of secret pockets to play in. It was magical and good for hours and hours of entertainment.

Thank you ladies. Andii, that plant is a Colea, you can just break off a piece and stick it in the ground and it will grow and there are hundreds of varieties of them, all so beautiful. I try to collect them for him anywhere I go.

I don't think I've seen this plant and I love the kind you're talking about-pluck it off tuck it in and it grows. The picture almost looks like a poincetta. Initially, did you buy or start the plant from a cutting or does it come in seeds? I'm going to look for it at Home Depot on my next run.

Thanks for the coffee break...I need to see something pretty this time of year...all the leaves and plants are gone. Everything is so dead looking and I start to get blue. I guess that's why I do so much sewing during the winter.
