My Mom used to say "Ignorance shouldn't be allowed to breed"...has new meaning now huh? Shame on the children...and I wouldn't hesitate to make the damages known to the parentsand ask for payment...not that they could pay you enough. Hurts doesn't it, when you open your home and heart just to be stomped on? I'm so sorry.

Oh , now Billy wants me to go to jail . Shame on you . Not my fault . Father , mother and bf were watching tv . Home Alone marathon of all things ! I'm po'ed at all of them ! Still no joy in my house . The father says " can't you fix it ? " What a jackass ! Told him his kids had no business touching my sewing or in my room ! He got all mad and left . That won't last for long . Annie

According to DH, the Hello Kitty design on that gun was done to entice more women to learn to shoot. I think it's stupid, but he is the gun expert.

As for the original point to this post, I would have killed them all!!! My son takes his life in his hands if he destroys anything in my sewing room. Only once has he done this and never again. He is 5 so I eventually forgave him, but his bottom hurt for awhile!!

I agree with you all but there more here then you all touching on.
My grandson mother put him up to a lot of things. She remarried how and still loves to cause trouble. If she can get my grandson to pull something on my son wife it has made her day. Be firm but loving. Invite them back but first instruct boyfriend that they owe you for the damage. Make them work to repay it. Yes, it can't be repaid but they need to know from him that there is a price for this behavior. Have him and them put the lock on the door out of money he would have given them for something. Have them also make a trip to the farbic store and buy you new material out of their money. Getting the message across that mom idea of funny will cost them darling.
