    They don't use salt here on the roads at least on this side of the hill (The Cascade Mountains). The road crew use cinders
    a form of lava rock.
    So all the vehicles get a lovely rust colored dirt coated on them.

    Wow - you got a lot more snow than we did! We live in South Salem, and I measured the snow in our driveway today and it was nearly 11 inches. It's gorgeous on all the fir trees - a winter wonderland....

    Amazing photos, Hawk. So serene looking even though cold! Thanks for sharing them with those of us who have had enough cold, but no real snow this year.....central Virginia.

    We got a total of 18" here and now everything has a coating of ice on top of the snow. Ready for it to go away.

    Love the pix from your sewing room. We are covered in snow here, too. Always gets a little old by this time. Is that your new serger I spy peeking up in the first pic? How's that going?
