That's wonderful news! I'm sure his whole family is glad to have him home. My niece is in Iraq now, her sister leaves for Afganistan at the end of March and my son just received notice that he will be there within the year. I will sure be glad when we can bring them all home again.

will keep her in prayers and peaceful thoughts for your niece! Joey has sone a couple tours too. last one was Iraq. he was working in a MASH type unit then.

this time he volunteered for special forces, did 3 months training at Ft.Riley to be a combat medic, before he left for Afghan.

I am thrilled for all of you. My son has done 2 tours in Iraq (12 months and 15 months), and just got back last week from 5 weeks in Haiti. That last trip wasn't as stressful as the others, believe me! I actually cried when I heard his voice the times he got home from Iraq!

    Woooo!

Both my bro and sis did their tour in Iraq, and it was tough. Both arrived home safe and sound and will be in Afghanistan sometime next year, I think. When my bro returned home, they had a live video feed on the web.
