I had a now-departed and very dear friend who used to hang her tree upside down in her stairwell when we lived in Munich.
The neighbors just assumed it was because she was American.
Her 5 kids assumed it was because they were driving her crazy!
I loved it - all the great decorations showed beautifully just like yours do.
