I've been away and just opened the QB today so I understand the frustration but found the help center and realized there is a lot here. But I completely agree that I am not entitled to anything here and love all the available information. I'll keep at it until I'm comfortable again. It wasn't even a year ago that I joined and remember the long process of trying everything.
I really depended on all of you for inspiration, tips, and conversation. Please persevere. It is all of you who make this a great community.
This is my first posting on the new format. Hope it works...

Oh for Pete's sake!! You would think your life was coming to an end because you have to learn a new way to do something and its not easy. If half as much time was spend trying to learn to navigate the site rather than complain about it, you'd be much farther ahead.
And since its FREE to you, but still costs to run it..there will be ads.
I'm not very good with computers, so maybe I just don't know enough to complain, but I do know I'm not ENTITLED to anything, so I'll keep struggling til I figure it out and be grateful I still can.

No, I really didn't have any major problems with the old site when I first came to it. I joined it shortly after I found it because everyone was nice and encouraging and I loved what it offered. I had to ask about uploading photos at first but basically it was a very simple website to navigate. This particular thread is about "what you don't like...", so people are expressing what they don't like and not necessarily being negative nor critical. I am learning it and trying to share some of the things I am learning. Like one user asked me how to use this colored font when I replied to a message. There is a lot to like and a lot to dislike... We will probably all get adjusted to it. I understand how some are having problems with pages/pictures loading. I have high speed internet and use a MacBook and have no problems with photos or pages loading. Just trying the easiest way to find my way around the site to what I like to use the most. I love the QB and have since I first found it. When you get a new car, you have to get the feel for it, how to turn the lights off and on, how to operate the radio, change the clock, set your radio settings, set up bluetooth, etc. I kinda see the QB like that. It has the same things just very different now and the newness hasn't worn off yet. I liked my old car better than my new one but am not going back to the old one...

well, we've been told to read 'important announcement;' 'QB help;' 'positive comments;' 'negative comments;' and now FAQ....i object to the fact that they did not do this well and waiting for all of us to stumble on the right answers to everyone's questions is exactly what has made it so difficult... if they had opened with the FAQ from their testers and basic instructions so we could locate our favorite parts, then a lot more people might be further along. they have renamed existing functions without telling us, some functions have disappeared, and maybe the new functions they put on are great, but we have to wait for someone to find it and spread the word... it is not asking too much for a little head's up when the whole site is going to change appearance (i thought the white got better, but today it appears to be back) and okay, i can get used to using the word 'subscription' incorrectly, but where is all the quilt info? it's been 4 days and someone would be back to discussing their quilts instead of site bashing... they took away a site that worked, and replaced it with one that is frustrating and they are still telling us to 'look around,' 'explore,' etc., but that isn't what we came for....they did this to us, stop blaming the users.
A wonderful, awesome Quiltingboard has been destroyed. I am sad for all of us.
