Naming Children After Pregnancy Cravings
#33
Ha, Ha! Your question makes me realize how my son's schoolmate back in the day may have got his name: Daiquari. I can't remember any particular cravings from my long ago pregnancies. maybe Chocolate Chip Cookies, but that has applied over the years to almost any day!!

Only child:
First name:Kentucky Fried Chicken Legs ( Colonel) for short
middle name: Double Frosty (Wendy's)
the husband workd secomd shift, stopped at KFC and then next door to Wendy's.
they expected him. When he did not show up one evening, the one night manager got worried.
he cam the next evening.... Colonel was born the night before and he was there to tell them.
KFC manager and Wendy' manager boxed up 2 really nice dinners, plus Frostys for him to bring to me.

My first daughter's name would be "burrito" with lots of vinegary hot sauce, as I could not get enough of them. The second one's name would be real "mashed potatoes" or "moon pies" which I have always hated, but craved them like crazy during that one pregnancy.

My 6 six foot, guy's guy son would be named "Twinkie". I spent my days crying and telling my husband if he loved me....he would go to store and get me twinkies. Poor guy did what all good hubbys do......trudged off to get what was asked for!!!
His older brother would be Apple...loved green apples and couldn't get enough. Wish I craved something like that the second time. As you can guess, much more weight put on the second time around!!!

This is such a fun thread. Thanks for starting it.
When my mother was pregnant with me, she craved chocolate candy, like Hershey bars, to the point of hoarding/hiding chocolate so she didn't have to share it with my father. Now all my life I have been a chocaholic, and we can't decide if I'm a chocaholic because of her craving it during the pregnancy, or if I was causing her cravings! It's kinda like which came first, the chicken or the egg?
