i was a steelworker and worked outside all the time, up on the detroit river..crazy cold and wind.

but in the spring and summer and fall..it was the best to work outside.

what about the kids the bring the grocery carts back to the store?! what a job that must be!

Oh yeah, we just saw a bunch of the cart pushers at Meijers...they were shoveling the handicap parking spots and the wind was blowing so fiercely. They really have a hard job to do when it comes to pushing those carts in the snow!.

Snow is still coming down, but not as hard. The windchill is below zero. They called school off already for tomorrow,as we're sopposed to get more snow tonight, so I don't have to work. We lost power for two hours today after the wind started, so I'm glad for the wood burner to keep us warm. I can sew tomorrow which is a good thing.

Winds here have finally died down to 20-30mph. All day yesterday and last night the wind was so bad that it sounded like one long freight train was going down our street. I pitied the snow truck drivers and others that absolutely had to be out it that weather. With the snow, flatlands and wind most people stayed in unless they had to be out and I didn't see anyone leaving town. It was a complete white out on the roads.

Minus 12 wind chill right now...thankfully I'm in the house. Back to work tomorrow for me...but it was nice to take a day off and clean out my sewing room. Dust bunnies anyone...
