Yes, but I still cried. I wonder what the show will be without her? She was such a fun part of it.

The episode with Abbey leaving is not the final episode this season. I have watched this show from the beginning but I think it’s time for it to end. I feel it’s gotten a little preachy.

This thread comes when just yesterday I asked DH to get me some NCIS cds so I can watch them as I sew. I always get movies from the library and have gone through so many of them that now I'm watching NCIS even though I've seen them in summer reruns and on Netflix or when they were playing on a marathon. I still luv the show....but luved it a whole lot better with Zeva! And of course it goes w/o saying for me anyway......Gibs!!! Luv that character and Mark Harmon playing it!!!! I sure hope their writers come up w/some new story lines because I'd really hate to see it end....There aren't but maybe 3 or 4 other programs on TV I find worth watching! (must be my age!!!)

Exactly my thoughts. I hope the show keeps going for a long time. I loved the Abby character, but I'm looking forward to seeing how she is replaced.

...it looks like maybe the female psychologist may be the new leading lady? ...and maybe love interest of Gibbs? Surprised me - Bishop's hair color..not as blonde, but this long stringy, parted down the middle hairstyle most females on tv are sporting is just boring...must be the old hairdresser gene in me!

I wonder what has happened to so many of the good characters that left popular shows like Good Wife, dr sweets if Bones, Diva of NCIS..

I like Duckie, Tim, and Torres, and of course Gibbs, but the show needs a leading lady.

Longmire is a show I miss. That one captivated both my husband and me.

I think Longmire is on Netflix or one of those type. We miss it too but don't have the subscription it's on.

Have to agree with all you said about the show and about other TV shows. Mark Harmon (Gibbs) looks a lot older this past season but is still easy on the eyes. I do hope the show continues but they are going to need some new, intriguing plots and it's difficult to come up with new story lines.
Here's my list of characters that should make up the regular NCIS cast:
Gibbs, McGee, Jack, Ducky, Fornell, and maybe Palmer and Delilah. Never liked Bishop or Torres and, to me, Vance always seemed to be superfluous actor who wasn't really needed.
I think Borin should become a fulltime character and I have to say that I'd like to see Lily Tomlin as a regular. I liked her in the epi The Penelope Papers.

I too Love NCIS all of them. I too was concerned that they'd write Abby out for good; No one will be able to replace her adequately. But at least they left the door open - so to speak - for her to come back one day - if the show is still on by then.
