Need computer help
If I scan a photograph on my computer is there a way I can take that scanned picture (out of my scan folder) & put it in my picture folder on my computer so I can upload that picture? If not, is there a way I can upload it directly out of my scanned folder?

I'm thinking that if the scan folder is on your computer and you can find it when you click on "Browse" then it should be able to be uploaded from that folder. The only possible glitch would be if it was too large to be uploaded. It needs to be a file size that is smaller than 2MB.
What kind of computer and scanner you have might be helpful, if that doesn't work.

Right click on “scan”.
Rename the file to what you want to name it.
Then right click on the renamed file and select “ copy”.
Go the pictures file where you to put the picture.
Right click and select “paste”.
The renamed picture should be in the picture folder.
I like to create the folder first so I have the parking spot ready to go.
You can also do a “cut” action but I like to use the “ copy” feature as it will stay in the original place
and just duplicate the image.

Ps
If there are multiple picture to the post, I add the picture number to the name in the folder.
Example of named pics would be Pinwheel quilt pic 1 or Pinwheel quilt pic 2
This helps me keep the pictures in the order that I want.

o.k. the copy & paste worked but it uploaded here as a pdf and did not come straight over as a picture. You can see it in the "pictures forum". Is there something I can do to change it to a direct picture posted here?

It is possible that your scanner settings are set to save as pdf for scanning documents. When you open your scanner software, do you have options to adjust like dpi, location and file type? Ňr perhaps choose document, picture or file?

"Save as"
You can change the name of the picture if you want or leave it the same.
Look at the file type. You can change the file type. Select jpeg.
Then save.
When you do the "save as" look at the top of the screen. There is a spot to tell the computer where you want it saved.
