Does anyone have a 16.0" HP G60-230US notebook pc? If so, what cell battery do you remommend? Mine is dying and I need a new one but am clueless.
I went to the HP site but not sure if the 12 cell will fit and the 6 cell doesn't have good reviews. :(

Will NEVER buy another HP!!!!!!!!!!!!! About a year and a week after buying a very expensive HP it stopped working right. Got it fixed (I paid for this repair) - didn't even last a month. Took it back they replaced the same part again. A few months later same thing happened only they would only replace once so I was out of luck since this was the second replaced part unless I paid again. The repair shop said they get more HPs needing repairs than any other, especially the one I brought in. A friend of mine had a very simular situation happen to her again with HP. She won't buy another HP either.

Sorry, you have had a bad experience with HP laptops, but I have three HP laptops and haven't had a single issue with them in 15 years! You can look up your model number (it's located on the bottom of the laptop) on HP site and can order replacement batteries there. Not only have I upgraded my own memory through tech support, but the tech was very helpful in telling which memory cards I needed and exactly how to upgrade/replace them.

My wife and I both have HPs and I bought her one of the extended life batteries at Best Buy before we left on our trip last year. They are expensive but worth it. They are genuine HP batteries which I would recommend over a generic battery.

The description says it is for a G60. Although out of stock on line they might have it in the store. Good luck!

Do what I do if I feel my consumer concern is not being properly addressed by customer service. Write a respectful letter to their executive offices, describing the situation in detail. They really do care about their business - and that means their products and customers.

Yeah, especially if they knew that their products are being talked about on a world wide Internet site of computer savvy folks.

Went to HPs website and it said that was the number. This is a 12 cell battery so it will be larger in thickness. Ours raises the back end on the computer about an inch. Take it to Best Buy and hopefully they will help you. There are generic ones on line for half the price but I am leery about using them, just my opinion.
