Need a shower and wedding gift

I remember 38 years ago when my husband and I were given a wedding shower, one of my inlaws good friend knitted both of us the most beautiful Christmas stockings with our names on them. We were married in September. I love them. Then when our daughters were born they each got one. We use them every Christmas and remember that wonderful lady.
I think a personal Chirstmas tablerunner or tree skirt would be a wonderful wedding shower gift.

Went to a shower recently, one gift was an large plastic ornament storage box, filled with Christmas items. The bride was thrilled.
Your idea is unique and if you personalize it, will be a lifetime rememberance of you and the shower!
