Well, I didn't really have a choice, so I did get an HP today with 8 on it. They said if I knew someone who can install 7 on it, that it can be done. I guess I'll just have to learn it. They are installing what they call a mask tho so I can set it up like 7.
I'll get it sometime this weekend as they are removing McAfee for me. I HATE that!!! I will install with Avast.
Did you know that when you buy a new pc they have to remove all the "trial" junk off it and install the full versions and there is a charge for that? That stinks!

there is a free download that you can get. its called 'classic shell'. it makes your windows 8 screen look like windows xp
I'm going to buy a new laptop with windows 8. My question is how hard is it to learn windows 8 if I'm used to vista & windows 7? Any imput will be appreiated. I'm planning on getting my new laptop this week.
Thanks!

It's not hard to learn Windows 8 *IF* you have someone show you the basics. It's really hard to figure out if you are trying to learn it on your own. If you have someone helping, you will probably need to consult with them a few times. As you work with it, you uncover additional issues.
