So sad to see our Windows XP finally bite the dust !In Feb,we had a lot of power problems with surges,on Valentine's Day ,(the light company actually had to replace some wiring coming in off the pole)it totally got wiped out.But so thankful we have power surge insurance with our light company. We have a new computer with Windows 7. Must say I like it. btw - the computer repair lady was able to retrieve all my family stuff I had saved in the old computer.,except for my Kodak camera storage. This is another one of our blessings in disguise.

Windows 7 is great! Windows 8 SUCKS! I hate it. Thankfully, you most Windows 8 have a way to just go to a Windows 7 desktop, but still documents are hard to find and printing is a nightmare. What were they thinking! Glad you were able to retrieve all of your special stuff!

My XP also died on me the end of last year. I now have an HP with Windows 8 and I like it. I did take a class on how to use it and I now find it easy to use.
