Ninety Years Young
I talk to my Mom on the phone several times a week. I live in Florida and she lives in Michigan. Wednesday, I asked her if she went shopping earlier that day. One of my brothers and his wife take her every couple of weeks as she has chosen not to drive any longer. She told me yes they had gone. She did state that the store was very crowded though. She told me there were so many old people shopping that day. I had to chuckle to myself because she is ninety years old. She is a very young 90. Even her doctor told her he hopes he is that young when he is her age.

Hope you inherited her good genes. When I go for physio on my shoulder, there is a lady that also comes for her shoulder...she is 92 and finding it a little hard to keep up her garden with a stiff shoulder!

When my MIL was close to 90 the doctor told her she needed to use a walker. She told him that walkers were for OLD people. He then asked her if she would at least use a cane. She bought this pretty carved cane, hooked it over her wrist, and walked. I use the cane at times now if my knees hurt me.

I also have a 90 year old Mother. Feisty little lady. Loves nothing better than shopping for new clothes and jewelry. Still lives alone in her little bitty house, refuses to get household help. Oh, and she is legally blind, but that doesn't stop this wonderful woman. She is better shape physically than her 4 daughters. They are such a blessing. Enjoy your mother as long as you have her. I am sure she is a delight to spend time with.

My mom is not that old yet. She is 85, and still drives. She goes to the gym a couple of times a week, and is having a great time .. She has a pace maker, and has had bladder cancer, but nothing stops her.. She shops herself, and has excellent taste in clothes. I drop my dog off every day, and spend time with her when I pick him up.. I hope she continues this way, as I enjoy watching her enjoy herself.
