My Grands are older and I don't try to guess what they may want. I only give gift cards, they are accepted very well. Great Granddaughters are going back to Alaska, there Mother doesn't believe in gifts other than money or gift cards she can spend on herself.

Wonderful idea. I think that I am passed that stage, and usually give money or gift cards. Mmmmmmm I could make little bags for the cards. Now you have gotten me going!

One year I made a batch of the little wonder wallets, a Lazy Girl pattern, and used that to put the Christmas gift cards or money into. They loved them and still use them.

these are so easy. One fat quarter makes 2 wallets. So 2 coordinating fat quarters made 4 wallets of alternating colors. Fast and Fun.

    Hi Cherrio,

So far it's just been Jim and me so no problem. When I give gifts outside the house, it's the paper.

Cool idea...they look fantastic. One year I wrapped I used tea towels as wrapping. I thought it would be something useful and less environmentally damaging.

I love sewing bags. I have done thus for two years. I do realize I don't always get the bag back. I am always looking for ribbon to use as draw string. I sometimes use silky rope. I have a laundry basket full. I keep the gift tags, sorted by name and use brass safety pins to attach them. I can whip up a gift bag as fast as I can wrap with paper.
