I made pillowcases for the great grandkids for Christmas one year. They used them for bags to keep all their other stuuf separate so they wouldn't get is mixed up with the other kids stuff. One of the grandmas said it was the best gift ever and saved a lot of time, ruffled feathers, and tears!

I've been doing that for years. They are great for those odd shaped items

Asking for them back seems to defeat the purpose to me. If you give something, give it, don't take it back.

I quit using "fancy" wrapping paper years ago & now wrap my gifts either in newspaper or brown wrapping paper. With a pretty bow (which I collect & save for the next year), they look perfectly fine. Not nearly as pretty as I'm sure gifts look in these fabulous bags, tho! Great job!

Now you have me ready to drag those 2 long containers of wrapping paper out from under the bed and toss them! Great idea.

I have a friend that does the same thing. She often gets really fancy with the wrapping as far as piecing goes. It's all I can do to get the presents made in time, let alone doing a fancy wrapping bag, too. Great idea though.

A few years back I made large Xmas gift bags using felt. Each bag has been appliqued with a different theme so the children know which bag is their's. The bags look like Santa's bag and I use during the season as a decoration by stuffing them with tissue and placing under the tree. Xmas eve the stuffing comes out and the gifts go in, making Xmas gift exchange time a bit less hectic. The bags have held up well over the past five years.
