    Believe me, there is no danger. It is an electric stove, the batting is inside the fan grill which is covered with foil tucked behind the edge of the fan frame. There is no electricity to the fan any longer. First off, for it to have even a remote chance of catching fire I would have to actually cook something, then someone would have to use tools to get to the batting. There is more danger having a pot holder near my stove.
