I'm feeling much better,so the virus or whatever has packed up & moved on

Gonna be easy to control eating this holiday as I'm taking 2 dishes, plus a box of candy from a neighbor & won't be bringing any leftovers home.Works for me.Weather will be great,in the sunny 60's thru Sunday.

Happy Thanksgiving. As part of our small town tradition we will go to the zoo/sanctuary and watch the animals feast on favorite foods ie the bears will have pumpkins filled with all their favorites, our cougars and tigers will get whole chickens, etc. It is perfect because our turkey will be cooking away and we will be out in the fresh air enjoying our little walk.

That sounds fun. We eat early each year, whenever the turkey is done...this year is was noonish. Dishes were even washed & put away by 3!!!! Since I have a bit of the sore throat food is not appealing to me so much. I made a Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake, it is fabulous but after a small piece I was sick to my stomach. My hubby had no such troubles & ate over half of it!!!! Great, better on him than me Funny thing is I have that cheesecake, pecan pie & a peanutbutter pie in the frig & I keep thinking that I want a sugarfree popscile.

We had a fabulous T dinner even if we had to delay it a few hours. When I went to get the turkey ready to put in the oven I found it was frozen solid. I put it in the fridge monday morning. Good thing it didn't really matter what time we ate. Tomorrow am we will drive 3 hours to see our other daughter. My son and I may go shopping at midnight. He needs a new large suitcase for his trip back to Korea and we both need a new camera.

Our day was very nice & relaxed.Lots of gabbing & visiting. We postponed dessert till later,as everyone was full.Played board games & just enjoyed the day with NO TV....LOL
Started home near 5pm...an hr's drive.Unloaded some of the stuff in the car....will do the rest this morn.Had to be firm with DD & her sis in law, wanting to load us up with left overs.Told them to give to ppl who would appreciate them.So......DD made a plate of desserts for DH & that's it.They don't appeal to me. Now if I had a plate of stuffing, noodles etc,yum yum.
The days cal count was a bit high. Not great, but ok for one day.DD was going shopping last nt.Gonna stay home today, doing nothing much at all.

Our Thanksgiving was small and peaceful. Only five of us and yes we were forced to bring left overs home. We will be eating controlled turkey meals for a couple of days but thats o.k.

Hubby has to wok this afternoon but I'm just going to kick back and take it easy. No black friday shopping for us.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy day.

God Bless! One Day at a Time!

Yoohoo......where is everyone? Hard to believe no one has posted since early yesterday morning. Are you all out Christmas shopping?

I'm pretty proud of myself for getting through Thanksgiving and leftovers without gaining any weight. I was a couple of hundred calories over each day but enjoyed having a little of everything that was offered.

Hope all of you had a wonderful holiday. Only 29 more days until Christmas!

Glad we have a few more days before posting. I am up today, but will work hard to get it back down before the end of the month. I did not over eat, but I think the whole week has been more calories that usual, so it showed today.
Today, it is back to quilting, I had it all put away as we had out of town family here since Tuesday. they leave today, so quilting for Christmas will be a big part of each day.
