Oh, dear. Obviously their mother didn't have a say in what they wore, it's like little girls playing dress up with Grandma's old stuff.
Way too frumpy for such pretty girls. Their father probably didn't have much to say about their dresses, might have been from some other "family" member who didn't like their mother.
From what I've seen online, the event was one you only see in a generation or so, almost made me wish I had cable again.
