Actually I was just in Fairfield this morning! I had to pick up a couple things at Jungle Jim's then stopped at Seams Sew Easy. I guess there was a class or something because it was pretty busy. I was good and only bought a couple patterns though. We do have lots of nice shops in the area and I love to visit them al!

Raggiemom, I just looked at the return address on your envelope and you live less than 20 miles from me. Lots of nice quilt shops in the Cincinnati area. From what I read on here we have ton of shops compared to most places.

I received 3 months of FQ yesterday from Jeanne49. There are some really pretty FQ here.
I spent a lot of the day shopping. I am worn out. I went to my WW meeting, Sams, Costco, Hobby Lobby, Hancocks, Krogers and the bank. I put all the stuff away and have goeta in the crock pot and homemade skyline chili cooking. I did a little bit of cleaning and am finished for the day. I am heading up to my sewing room now. I just checked my fitbit. I have 9000 steps in so far. I need 1000 more somehow.

Pat, I do yoga with bad knees and a bad back. I don't think my knee problems are as serious as yours sounds, though. As far as my bad back - that is the main reason I do yoga. Yoga has helped my back more than anything I've every tried. I take a gentle yoga class and the first thing the instructor always does is ask everyone what issues and limitations they have. I told her right off the bat I am NEVER doing headstands or anything crazy like that. She is very accommodating and offers alternatives or says just sit out on a pose that you can't/dont want to do. Not all my instructors have been good. Some just didn't seem to help and others forced me way beyond what I repeatedly said I was not comfortable with. I eventually just left her, I can't work with someone who refuses to listen to me. BTW you're making me tired with all that you did yesterday.

MeganC731, LOVE the quilt and nice pieced backing, too. You have horses?

PamH, it IS sad when the quilt stores close. We have a fabric store that used to have a really big quilt section (it had just as much as a good specialty quilt store) that has dwindled so small that it's really just not worth going to anymore. In fact, I avoid it because it's so depressing as compared to what it was in its heyday. I now have to drive but at least I can get to 3 different stores in less that 1.25 hours. I've tried ordering off the internet but it's just not the same. Once I ordered a beautiful black and white but when it came it was black and tan/cream. It definitely would not work in the top I was piecing.

We are blessed here with fabric stores. I have 2 Hancocks, JoAnns, and 6 quilt shops within 15 miles of my house. If I go a little bit further there are several more. Fabric shack is about 40 miles from here.
I am so far behind around here I will never catch up. The goeta was delicious for breakfast. I make mine from lean ground turkey so it is healthy. I had goeta hash in a restaurant and have been duplicating it at home. Heading upstairs to do the elliptical shortly.

I'm hoping that is the last time I need to send fat quarters. I only have 12 lbs to lose to get to my goal. July is the last month I lost any weight. Time to get serious!
Here's some quilting I did for a friend. Hope no one is afraid of spiders!

Pat - Thanks for checking on my FQ's! Glad they got there ok. I don't think traditional yoga would work for you, I sometimes double up my mat for extra cush and the pressure still hurts my knees sometimes. It's the kind of pain that goes away as soon as I move, but with arthritis it would probably be too painful to hold the pose and it would just flare up the arthritis. But there are so many variations of all the poses that you can get into them from lots of different angles. You might look for chair yoga or perhaps a class tailored for students with arthritis. I've found that I like some of the poses better with a chair. Like Cindy, it's done wonders for my aches and pains Also, Way to go on those steps!!

CindyH- Thanks! We only wish we had horses. My husband's aunt and his uncle both have horse farms and his aunt gave one of my girls an old saddle for decoration, now it decorates my living room. It probably stinks to most people, but I love it! How about you? Where in VA are you? That's where his aunt lives.

PamH- LOVE those spiders, how clever! Wish I could quilt like that.

Meganc731, unfortunately I'm in northern VA, but we're dreaming of moving to the Shenandoah Valley. Yes, I spied that saddle! I rode a bit when I was a kid but probably won't again.

Pam, let us know if you try yoga. It's been my experience that most studios will give you a free class to try it out or you can pay for a few classes and try the different ones they offer. At one studio their Gentle Yoga class was WAY too easy for me but the one I'm in now is perfect. You just have to keep trying different ones. There is a product, I think it's called Jellies. They are rubbery, cushiony little pads to put your knees and hands on to take some of the impact if you have issues. They might help you. They're probably not too expensive. My studio has a few in the classrooms to try out before you buy. I had yoga last night and slept SO well.

Oh, No!!! I had to open the Halloween candy up at school yesterday to get ready for Trick-Or-Treating that we do with the preschoolers. There were a few leftover pieces - I'm in trouble!!!!
