Default Oh boy I did it this time...

You know what I did last night? On the way home from dinner with my 5 yo DGD we stopped to gas up and get milk.

Well, this morning she says Grandma we don't have any milk. I said yes we do, I got some last night, remember? DUH!!!!! I left it in the car! Well, of course it went down the drain as it was spoiled

Been there - done that! But, luckily it was in the winter and the temperature had dropped way down and it was just like the milk was in the refrigerator.

Milk left in the car overnight..
Milk left on the counter- never made it in the fridge.
ice cream was put in the fridge instead of the freezer..
Frozen meat was forgotten in the sink and counter- more times than i can count on my hands..
    List goes on and on.,

I stopped one time to buy milk and ice cream, that night when the boy's were ready for ice cream and went to the freezer there was no ice cream but there was the milk in the freezer, and there was the ice cream in the fridge.

My husband once asked me where was his fried egg... we found it in his coffee cup! Whoopsie!

A number of years back I was going to school while raising four kids and keeping up with my Air Force husband, I would on occasion be too busy to unpack groceries as soon as I got in the house. So I would unpack only those things that needed to be refrigerated or frozen and leave the bags with the non-perishables for when I had some time. Once, those bags of canned goods, etc., sat waiting for a couple of days when we all began to notice a very unpleasant odor in the kitchen. Finally, we zeroed in on the bags waiting to be unloaded - I had over looked a package of frozen broccoli in the bottom of one bag which, of course, had thawed and begun to spoil. Took ages to get the smell out of the house and for everyone to stop teasing me! Ugh!

This must be a week for forgetting. The other morning I made myself two eggs for breakfast and forgot to put the eggs back in the fridge. Didn't discover it until 10:30 p.m. when I got home from a sewing group. Needless to say I had to go buy more eggs today so I could make a pineapple upside down cake for a birthday tomorrow.
