It was 107 at 5:30 pm yesterday in my driveway, we are expecting a few isolated showers this evening, hope it doesn't miss us this time. We don't have any humidity here so the wind is like a blow dryer in your face ugh.

We should all be praying that the winter won't be as harsh as the summer has been. We will all be up to you know where in snow and ice. It has been very HOT here also in southern OH. I tried to do weeding this morning and got bit by all kinds of bugs. Not going out the rest of the day. Time to go sew.

Talked with my sisters in Scott Ctty and Garden City--
they are in the same boat as you. Reminds me of my growing up days in Garden city, but as kids we didn't mind as much and we had the big pool. (which my mom ran) Try to keep cool, it can't last forever. In about 5 months we will be gripping about the snow and cold.
Right now Michigan is only 85.

I worry a bout all of you in that scorching heat. My Dad is in Oklahoma, and is 93 years old. If he will stay indoors I think he'll be ok, but you can't keep a good man down

Small world! I lived in Garden City for 28 years! I'm south of there now.

    It's only 12:30 and it's already 99 degrees!!

My son and daughter-in-law live in Wichita. They said it is like being in a convection oven. Maybe this tropical storm/hurricane coming to Texas will help move the heat a bit.
Ever been to Hen Feathers, your LQS? I love that place. My daughter-in-law and I had such fun picking out quilt fabric. I cant wait to visit it again.
Yes, love Hen Feathers. It is 104 at the airport and we are typically 3 to 4 degrees over that.
