    ...is at 111 at our house right now. And the wind makes it even more miserable. The a/c stays on a lot!! :thumbdown:

    I just talked to my daughter in Wichita and she said it was awful! We are about the same here in KC. Try and stay cool!

    My cousin lives there and said the leaves are falling dead off the trees!! My goodness! We have heat here in Central Valley of CA, but not like that!

    Tulsa is the same. Three weeks with no end of 100+ days in sight. Our back lawn is crunchy underfoot. And brown.

    We're also losing trees here in western OK due to the heat... a pretty little Spruce in the neighbors yard is slowly browning up... in spite of his valiant efforts to keep it watered, its just too hot. 112 on the rear-view mirror thermometer when I left work at 4:00 today...
