I hope we don't get it.
I'm from erie, pa right by the Lake
I've been ready for spring when the first flake fell.

I'm all ready if it does stop by. food, water, pepsi, and fabric.

I agree that the weather people have really become good at FEAR MONGERING.
We forget what a large and varied country (ies) we live in. I can't imagine living in a home without central heating or R-13 insulation. I don't really notice the cold that much (until the power goes out which is Rare where I live). Winter comes and its cold. Looking out the window its hard to tell if its -3 or -23C. I just DON"T GO OUT, (except to shovel.)
    STAY HOME AND SEW.

I was just grateful that our electricity stayed on. We have spent days in the local hotels during some nasty ice/snow storms in the past. Not fun. Not cheap either. I just want to be home during storms.

Polar vortex used to be called Alberta Clipper. Guess they thought they needed a new name.

Apparently we are due for more horrific rainfall - meaning even more flooding - don't know which is worse, being as cold as some of you have already had and facing again, or paddling in water!!!!! Whichever it is PLEASE PLEASE don't send it over the pond to add to our newly formed lakes!!!!!

I'm probably the only one out there, but I LOVE the cold weather in January! It's seasonal! I wouldn't want it in July, or even April, but January's supposed to be cold! I love to have the oven on and bake and warm up the kitchen, bundle up by the fire or just sit and watch the snow blow around. Then when spring comes, I've had enough cold, and am ready for it to warm up. And yes, I love the heat in the summer, too!!
