Default Oh no!!!! Polar vortex is coming back

just read on msn that the nasty vortex is coming back with a vengeance and going further south
than last time. it's sitting over Canada now. but on the 21st, it's coming back, so food shop
if you must, but don't forget to get the extra fabric needed for that special cold weather project.

Keep those quilts handy so you can rug up snug and warm. I'll be sending you all hot hugs from sunny hot South Australia.

The Polar Vortex is always there - its not like a storm system or anything. Its a term that the media grabbed ahold of to freak people out. It does fluctuate around and adds to cold snaps but the term is totally misused by media which is not a surprise. Glad I have flannel sheets on the bed. Will be more glad to see spring come.

Ha, ha. One day I was telling my friend from Maryland about a Norther that came through when I was a teenager. She said what in the world is a Norther? I explained that the weatherman called a cold front that. She said she never called a warm front a Souther! nope, I bet not. Now the Polar bears are sending cold fronts. well, not them really.

I am so ready for spring to be here. I have had enough cold weather. That break I had in Dallas last week really didn't help me much as I was not able to get out in it til I was leaving. Had to go to school the rest of the time and by the time we were done for the day, I was done for the day. So much walking to classes and rest rooms, especially when Handicapped is not fun.

I think we are all ready for spring. Does the fact they are calling it a vortex mean we will be dizzy and cold. Lol
