If I go fabric shopping and my plastic doesn't melt, I figure I did a great job. So when I get it home and DH asks if that's new fabric, 'no dear, I've had that for ages, i'm just sorting out matching colors for my next project'.

If it had been me, I would have walked out with all the "extra" stuff and forgotten to get the blades...so that would have required another trip. Who knows what I would bring home from that trip, nor how much that one would cost me and then theres no guarentee that I wouldn't forget them again! LOL!

Were you ever a Girl Scout? Their motto is something about always being prepared...lol...Your 'rotary blade trip' sounds like me...I thought that if I'd make a list, I'd have no need to wander the store...but, there's something about those 'clearance and sales' signs...they seem to draw me magnetically...

I did almost the same thing!

Ran into Walmart tonight after work, Sunday night, only place ope, because I needed spring water. So I figured I'd pick up some starch while I was there and noticed they are remodeling.

So, I run over to the fabric department to see if it is still there and it was, but there was this bolt of Black, white, and red paisly that was so classy looking! Had to look at the price, $4.44, and decided I should get 3 yards. Just as she was about to cut it I yelled "Stop!". I decided to take it all and it was 9 yards.....yes, it's that pretty. While she measured, I continued to look around and found this great fabric with acoustical guitars on it (son plays it) and I grabbed three yards of that too.

Now, I'm mad at myself for spending so much, but I HAVE TO HAVE THIS FABRIC! That's when I spotted the cart that had new bolts in it. Two perfectly coordinating fabrics for my rwb paisley, got three yards each.

I was in an out in 15 minutes and it cost me over $100!!! Why does guilt and joy have to go hand in hand?
