The Fabric Shack S.W. of Columbus in Waynesville and Miller's Dry Goods (in Amish Country) in Millersburg, Oh NE of Columbus. Cannot go wrong with any food from an Amish Restaurant. I've eaten at the Der Dutchman, Walnut Creek. VERY good food. Have fun and report back!

I live about 5 miles from Lehmans so I'm pretty familiar with the area. :-). On Thursdays, the Kidron Auction is right next to Lehmans. It has been in existence for many, many years. The local folks bring their livestock to sell. Just a local spot.
If you're in the Dalton/Kidron area, you may want to visit the P Graham Dunn facility right on Route 30. The Lone Star Quilt Shop is located in Mt Hope and is a lovely quilt shop. (Mrs. Yoder's in Mt Hope is a good place to eat).
Walnut Creek has Coblentz Chocolates and Der Dutchman restaurant (chicken is delicious). Rebecca's Bistro is also a fun place to eat.
Charm has Millers Fabric which a great fabric place as well as Keim Lumber which is a great place the guys can browse. They actually have a lot of variety for everyone and is quite large.
Of course there's Berlin and Sugarcreek. Lots of little shops to visit.
Hope you enjoy your visit to the area.

I go to Holmes County frequently. Millers Dry Goods in Charm and if your husband isn't into quilt/fabric shops, there is Keim Lumber that is also in Charm, just up the hill from Millers. There are several really nice quilt/fabric shops in Mt. Hope (near Lehman's). The bulk food stores are great, Walnut Creek is awesome. For a hotel, I would recommend Zinck's in Berlin, but there are several VERY good hotels and bed/breakfasts in the area.
If you are going to Lehman's, plan on a couple of hours at least. That place is awesome!
