    You're right, Quilting Nonnie! Married in 1978. I made my dress -- at 30 I was considered old back then and the dresses I saw were too frou-frou for me. Also, when I was looking at dresses, a lady clerk came up to me and asked if she could help me look for a mother of the bride dress. She won no points with me and I told me with much glee (and a little distain mixed in), "No, I'm looking for a bridal gown." She made no comment--I made some silently to myself. :roll:

    Carol, I robbed the cradle too!!! My DH is 3 years younger than me, but he is the one who gets asked if he wants the senior discount!!! LOL
