    Using the correct spelling is a shortcut in grammar? Interesting.

    Yay! is an exclamation of approval, congratulations, victory, etc.

    Yea is an older form of "yes" used in voting; the opposite of nay.

    Yeah is an informal "yes."

    our children don't have a chance! think if they ever need to compose a letter to a business, etc. Sigh. maybe everybody there will also text only and can understand them. i hope!!

    I grew up learning that yay was hooray!

    yea - was yes, and only used in government functions

    and I don't like yeah. Sounds wrong.

    Sorry I think it was me that did YaY with the captial Y on the end it was a typo. But I ment it like a cheer of hooray.
