I started to clean the fabric out of the living room and dining room. I will put up a small 2 ft tree. When the children were younger they always got a dept 56 house. It wasn'r Christmas if they didn't get one. We must have about 25 house alone with figures. I don't have the room for them or the energy to put even just a few up. The most important this is the nativity and that should and will take center stage.

Why will you not be sleeping in your bedromm the next 4 1/2 month that is upstairs? Just wonder if maybe you are having surgery.

Mines has been done for two weeks already. Celebrated with my brother for Thanksgiving, so put it up early. I would love to leae the tree up all year round...love the way the living room is lit with white lights. Don't usually take it down til after January 30th.

I am off to my parents for Christmas as my youngest daughter is now in Australia and my eldest will be with her partners family in London so wasn't going to bother - but then thought how miserable that would be so they are going up next weekend (also my eldest is coming here for a week) just before and I think she would be disappointed so am now very excited!!

The almost the whole family, 12 of us, went to the lot to pick a tree last Sunday. By the time it was in place and the bins with decorations were out of the attic the children had to go to bed so we finnished on Monday evening. I do not have dogs playing with the little houses and decorations but I do have the twins, 5. The older kids are pretty good. We also have a small advent calender santa house with little doors to be opened for each day. Only 6 stockings with 14 children. The rest of us will put our shoe out when the time comes.I have been meaning to make more stockings but I am just too slow. It always makes me feel quilty. Need to shop still.

The kids decorated it. also now there is a big woven star on top.

Everyone's pics are beautiful! I just got out our little Charlie Brown tree & put the lights on...Christmas music playing, trying to find some holiday spirit...

Oh my, LOL, never thought about the dog & the tree, SO glad we didn't buy a real one (ours is on a table).
