and the ornaments are coming out of the attic. I actually cleaned my bay window and moved all my african violets up to my bedroom since I won't be sleeping up there for the next 4 1/2 months. I even washed my window treatment and rehung already. I will set up my houses and hope the dogs don't ruin them, Haven't figured where I am going to put up a tree yet. I usually have one in the living room and one in the basement sewing studio where we have our Christmas get-together. Anybody else getting ready? I'd love to see your pics.

I remember Christmas as a child; there were 7 of us and I was the oldest. As soon as all of us were awake, Mother and Daddy would come upstairs and we would line up - youngest one to go first and I was always the last, but I didn't mind at all. There was at least one present for each of us. Our tree had all homemade ornaments on it, from stringed popcorn or cranberries to milk weed pod that Mother would decorate. That was the most beautiful and loving tree I have ever seen.

Here are my houses. They are all sewing/quilting shops, a tailor shop, a flower shop (I used to do wedding flowers with a friend), a pet shop. I don't do outside anymore. If I put them up I have to take them down, usually in nasty weather. I will post others another day. That's my accomplishment for today.
