Not sure about the visa debit but if you go thru paypal its all guaranteed. Make sure you have them certify your address. Our ebay account got hacked and we would have been out over 3 grand. Paypal saved our butt big time. The sellers shipped to a different address so we ended up getting our money back thank god. Just helps out if anything is a scam. Congrats on your new machine!1

lol, how cruel of your hubby to have such fun with your emotions! But, that happens in my house too, my hubby does the same sort of thing.

I love and hate ebay for those very reasons....and worse is when someone does bid on it, and you can see the price going up in tha last few seconds at it kills you. The stress is just terrible lol.

But congratulations on your new machine, you wont know yourself now

Congratulations! Now you're going to have to make some really cool stuff to show your hubby that you really needed that machine. You can do it!

Wow! I know what you mean about the heart palpitations! Thought I'd have a heart attack the first time I bid on something on eBay.

Next time try using http://www.auctionstealer.com . You can bid on 3 items per week for free. It really takes the pressure off. The one thing you need to be aware of with this is that, although rare, occasionally a bid doesn't go through. It's so rare that I am willing to take the risk.

Congratulations on the new machine!

I have heard from several computer gurus of mine that one should not use a debit, but a credit card for all online purchases. Just a thought. Good luck on the purchase. Bet you can't wait to get it.[/quote]

Well done I know the feeling only tooo well after buying my machine on ebay and yes my husband did the same thing wouldn't commit till the last 10 minutes.

I have a separate account I use for online transactions. after being stung a couple of times, but the bank refunded me my money very quickly.
I only transfer money into it when I want to buy something.

Okay, I'm still nervous! All this waiting is killing me! I was just notified that my new machine was shipped today. It should be here between the 6th and the 13th. Why does time seem to move so slowly when you want it to fly, and why does it fly any other time? Guess I need to keep busy.
