They start earlier and earlier every year, don't they? I remember when they didn't start till Black Friday.

I just commented last night that the outlets had their Christmas decoration up. My daughter just smiled a great big smile and nodded. And she is 27!

Except for fabric stores, lol! I heard a talking head on the radio complaining about this very topic 2 weeks ago. He lumped fabric stores in with the rest of the guilty crowd because they were already selling Christmas fabric. I called in and said the fabric stores HAVE to sell Christmas fabric as early as July because we need lots of time to make our Christmas projects!

I have to admit, I was a little surprised that he was complaining about FABRIC stores. I don't see a lot of guys in fabric stores, and the ones I DO see are fellow quilters and sewists, and they know better. I should have asked him about that while I had him on the phone!

I posted the same topic (but it was Avon) last week. They were the first Christmas commercials I saw. I jsut e-mailed both Avon and Glade and complained about the early Christmas advertising. Maybe if we all e-mailed them, they would get the message.

I boycott any product that runs a holiday commercial before Halloween. It probably doesn't make any difference to them, but it makes me feel better.

I love it all. I would celebrate Christmas all year long (smile).
