I solved my foot problem and it costs me about $25.00 every six months. I buy "Skater shoes" they are flat bottom and don't hurt my feet.

OK< I know this might be nice, but I am gong to share anyway.

When my son was small we had such a hard time finding shoes for him, long, narrow feet. I told him his feet were like water skiis, and he cried. I felt bad, then, now I think it is funny. I hope I don't make you cry.[/quote]

My DH says mine are snow skies, and that I can also swing from trees with them.

Wal-mart sells shoes that are similar that are called Earthware (I believe) and they are super comfy.

My feet give me fits so a couple of years ago I started really trying to find shoes that are comfortable. I now have several pairs of Earth shoes, including Earth tennis shoes, sandals, and some I can wear to work. I also have a number of Birkenstocks that I love.

Those are my staples and I rarely even think about my feet when I am wearing them so they are worth every penny. They last well and make a big difference in the way I feel. There was a time when I just put up with the pain, but eventually I figured out that it wasn't worth it.

They are wonderful shoes. I am a retired nurse and I am willing to pay for good shoes. I can wear Walmart clothes but shoes are another thing. I once paid $175 for a pair of shoes. When I wore them I did not regret it. The were not dressy shoes but were very comfortable.

When my feet hurt I hurt all over. LOL Sooo good shoes are a major thing for me. I do not buy many prs. because I wear them until they do fall apart. It kills me to spend a lot of $$$ on shoes, but my feet appreciate it.

I have to find out who sells Birkies in my area.
I am almost to the point of not being able to walk any distance.
Dr. says I have no "fat" on bottom of my feet.

Clark's shoes are really good, too, and about $50-$85.

The other thing I should mention is that the Earth Spirit shoes sold at Walmart are NOT the same as Earth shoes.

Earth shoes make your heel lower than your toes, which takes the stress off of your low back, like the anti-high heels. It sometimes takes a day or two to get used to them, but they are so well built- I have a pair that I wear all the time, and they're 4 years old. I have had some top stitching repaired, but the soles and the insoles are still fabulous, and the leather looks great! They're worth the money, even if I'm cheap enough to look for a bargain.
